FOUNDATION fieldbus, HART, Profibus and Modbus Support

Multi-protocol Engineering FDT

Often, plants deploy numerous device types, with numerous protocols, from different manufacturers. The problems associated with having different maintenance tools for different devices and different protocols have created a demand for a standardized configuration and maintenance environment. Invensys has responded by adopting the new Field Device Tool (FDT) standard. More

Foundation Fieldbus (FF)

Today's modern fieldbus-based systems have smaller footprints. Network technologies, such as FOUNDATION fieldbus, reduce wiring costs. But wiring cost savings from FOUNDATION fieldbus alone can be limited, due to added costs for H1 power conditioning and spur protection. With the latest I/A Series system, you can achieve far greater space and wiring savings than conventional FOUNDATION fieldbus solutions.More

HART Communication Protocol

The I/A Series HART interface module unlocks the power of HART communication protocol devices, providing full access to the information in the field transmitter or valve to the system. The ideal solution for preventive maintenance, asset management, remote diagnostics and remote configuration of your field equipment.

PROFIBUS

The PROFIBUS-DP Communication Interface Module (FBM223) provides an interface between PROFIBUS-DP slave devices — such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), I/O modules, and field I/O devices — and the I/A Series system.

The efficiency of today's object linking and embedding enviroment (OLE) for process control (OPC) meets the growing need of the process engineer to integrate these modern hardware devices and automation systems with each other and with legacy system devices to maximize process efficiency and to make plant floor information available on an enterprise-wide basis.
