With Recipe Manager, you can build and manage equipment-independent master recipes with flexible procedures. Because production personnel can create master recipes, production engineers are free to perform other tasks.
Recipe Components
The components of a master recipe are:
- A header that defines the recipe ID, recipe name, type, state, version number, date, author, a min and max batch size.
- Equipment required to produce the batch
- Formula, which includes the raw materials consumed by the batch, the materials produced, and the process variables.
- Procedures, which contains the sequence of actions and events
Recipe Procedure Editor
The recipe procedurecontains unit procedures, operations, and phases. The editorprovides drag-and-drop capability. You can save portions of a recipe in various libraries, so they can be saved and used in any number of recipes.
Formula Inputs Editor
The Formula Inputs Editor provides a list of materials needed to produce a recipe, the values and quantities needed, and where they will be inserted into the batch.
