Enterprise Resource Planning and Batch Systems Integration

The I/A Series Batch Suite smoothly integrates process manufacturing systems with enterprise business systems.

A flexible integration architecture and messaging technology allows disparate applications to send transactions to a central location. From there, based upon a variety of possible events, applications can retrieve just the information they need.

This solution prevents the problems other solutions encounter when an application is added to or removed from the system.

A wide variety of pre-structured connectors exist to translate information to and from the production and business systems. These connectors work with Foxboro and non-Foxboro production applications, as well as leading ERP systems, databases, and OPC applications.

Batch Data Analyzer

The Batch Data Analyzer puts a familiar face on batch analysis by operating in a Windows environment. It is a PC desktop tool for visualizing and exploring real-time and historical process data.

The Batch data analyzer has three major components: a data object tree tool for visually selecting groups of data objects; a spreadsheet for viewing data in tabular format and for defining data transforms; and a trend chart area for viewing plots of the selected and transformed data.

You can build real-time and historical charts in a variety of formats, including bar, area, and stacked bar. You can control the number of data points displayed by setting the time range for the data being used and how frequently the data is sampled.

The spreadsheet component has two worksheets: one allows you to define data objects with mathematical formulas, and the other shows the data values used in the trend chart area. Objects that are in alarm condition are displayed in red.

Features

  • The spreadsheet uses Microsoft Excel syntax for the formulas you use to define data objects.
  • You can monitor up to 16 sources of data simultaneously.
  • The filtering function can select compound or block names from I/A Series Systems.
  • Drag and drop between the data object tree and the trend chart area is supported.
  • Charts can be saved, re-used, and shared.
  • Zoom into selected areas of any chart, and switch charts between normal andbanded data presentations.
  • The current screen can be frozen while data collection continues in the background
