The 870ITCR transmitter is an intelligent, loop-powered two-wire contacting conductivity and resistivity instrument with exceptional performance and ease of use.
The 870IT can be specified either with an analog 4-20 mA output, or with optional digital communications. The digital signal can be used either in conjunction with a Foxboro I/A Series control system or with a Foxboro PC20 configuration utility for remote configuration of the transmitter with a laptop PC.
With its large display and common language menus, the 870IT is easy to configure and calibrate. It is housed in a tough, epoxy-painted NEMA 4X enclosure suitable for either panel, pipe or surface mounting.
Key features of the 870ITCR are summarized below:
- Single unit for either conductivity or resistivity
- Intrinsically safe for use in hazardous area installations
- High sensitivity and wide rangeability
- Recalibration not required after range changing
- Resistivity system accuracy of +/- 1.06% RMS
- Several chemical-specific temperature compensations available in the standard menus
- Application switching and storage of up to 3 sets of application configurations
